Friday afternoon
Wyatt took a really good mid-morning nap. I think it was not quite 2 hours. During that time, I took a shower, got dressed for the day, caught up on email, and took an hour nap! This is what Max did. I couldn't quite tell if he was waiting on the snow or if he was just sad that Wyatt was down for a nap.

Wyatt woke up very happy! Such a cutie. He layed in his crib a little bit, read his letters on the wall, and listened to his mobile.

After that long nap he needed to get the blood flowing through his body. He exersaucered and had a grand time. Notice his goofy socks. Those things are cute but such a pain and don't stay on.

Getting ready for lunch! On the menu - squash (very stinky squash), rice cereal and a banana for dessert! He ate very well. Again, Max is always nearby. And Wyatt loves to dangle that left arm and be in contact with his buddy Max!

Watching the snow! It snowed in The Woodlands for about three minutes but instantly turned to water as soon as it hit the ground, or maybe even right before. But there were lots of flurries. I really do think Wyatt was watching the snow. You can't really see it in this picture, but flurries were a-falling.

Watching some more ESPN - notice the toy is in his mouth. Such a goof.

Back in the exersaucer. We were jammin' to the Sounds of the Seasons. He loved listening to the Christmas music! We were waiting on Emily to come home. She had called on her way from school to Target and then at this point would be walking in any minute. We greet her at the door and everyone was all smiles!

Playing with a metal pan - who knew it would be so entertaining?! This reminds me of how Melissa used to set Matthew up in the living room with a sauce pan and a wooden spoon. He would go to town and make some lovely (or not so lovely) music with his "new" toys!

Who needs pants when you've got a stocking cap on?

Friday morning, con't
Wyatt and Max have a very serious discussion

This was Wyatt's outfit for the day once he was done with his pj's.

I love those cheeks!!!

Here he demonstrates how he sucks on his left thumb. Just the left one. Not sure if that means he's going to be a lefty or if he's sucking on his left thumb to free up his right hand? I hope he's a lefty! Both of Wyatt's aunts (Stacie & myself) are lefties!

This was after butt-hopping on the floor. The butt hops are hilarious!

Friday morning
Here's a recap of last Friday morning. I drove to The Woodlands Thursday night. I got a few hours of sleep on Emily's couch and woke up once I heard Wyatt was up and going. I could tell Emily was in the nursery working on him. I assumed it was time to get up and start my babysitting duties so she could get up and start getting ready for school. I got up, and on my way to the nursery checked the time...it was 3:56AM. Emily was up with Wyatt from 3:45 until almost 5:00AM. She had a hard time getting him to go back to sleep. Needless to say, she was tired Friday morning and so was he. As you can see in these first few pictures, he's got some serious sleepy morning eyes going on. He was still so happy and cute of course. He was up for a little over an hour before I rocked him, he got his thumb in his mouth, and he was down for a little nap to finish off his nighttime sleep. He napped for not quite an hour.

After his little nap, I got him set up in his high chair and started getting his breakfast ready. He had some puffs while I was preparing the delicious breakfast. You'll notice Max is in all of the high chair pictures. Max thinks that when it's eating time, that he's supposed to go sit by the high chair. Naturally, he licks Wyatt's hands and eats any and all food he can get to. Wyatt LOVES having Max by his side. He dangles his left arm over the high chair for Max to lick. Wyatt also gives Max's head lots of pats. There's no doubt that these two love one another very very much.
Snacks with Max:

Yummy breakfast - apple sauce and oatmeal!

After Wyatt ate a really good breakfast, he stayed in his pjs and played. I turned the tv on and he watched some SportsCenter. He totally had his feet propped up on one of his toys. What a life, right? He played/watched SportsCenter for a while before I rocked him, he got his thumb, and then he took his mid-morning nap. Do you see the pattern? If he gets a hold of that left thumb he's golden. And once you lay him in his crib (and he still has his thumb) if he rolls onto his right side he's even more golden. Those are key to taking a good Wyatt nap.

Experiment
Mr. Snowman
How cute are these jammies? I may be slightly out of control when it comes to buying Wyatt clothes. Emily has told me before that I should be a personal shopper. Not gonna lie - I'm a pretty good shopper. I have some control issues if I see cute stuff for Wyatt, such as these super cute snowman pj's from Gymboree (on sale of course).

This is Wyatt's cage (it's his pack 'n play). I didn't put him in it at all during the day, but then put him in it at night once Emily had been home and we were just playing until bedtime. He LOVES his cage! He worked on his cups for a while until it was time for his night time nursing.

After Emily nursed him she attempted to put him in his crib to see if he'd go to sleep. No such luck. I was in the other room and she called me in to see what he was doing. This is what I saw. I couldn't help but laugh, which didn't help matters!

What are you doing Mr. Snowman? I think you're supposed to be laying down and going to sleep!

Wyatt & his daddy
I played hookie from school last Friday and kept Wyatt while his parents were at work and his babysitter had eye surgery. Mia and Papa Sam were in Round Rock so that left Aunt April on duty! It was the best Friday I've had in a while! We stayed at the house all day and had a good 'ole time. It actually snowed in various places around Houston so we definitely enjoyed staying inside the warm house and didn't even think about getting out in the weather. It snowed a teeny tiny bit at Emily's house, but as soon as the "snow" hit the ground it instantly melted. Here are a couple of pictures from Saturday. I will attempt to load all of my pictures that I took Friday. The first couple are of Wyatt playing with Jacob's face/head while Jacob was laying on the floor with him. It was super cute. Emily was gone getting a massage and facial that Jacob had given her six months ago for their anniversary (or maybe it was for Mother's Day). This picture was taken soon after a small incident with bananas...let's just say they didn't exactly stay down on Wy's tummy. But he was still his usual happy self!

All dressed and ready for the parties! This is before heading to Wyatt's great-grandmother's surprise birthday party. After that they headed to the Skinners to watch the Big 12 Championship crap game.
