Yummy! These are pretzel rods dipped in melted caramel, dipped in chocolate, and then drizzled with some more chocolate! Sounds simple, right? Not so fast. Emily and I saw these on another blog and Emily made them. She was in charge of taking desserts to her in-law's Thanksgiving get-together. She made "Death by Chocolate" as well as these delicious treats. It was far from simple. Turns out caramel does not melt or dip too easily and gets hard quickly, making it more difficult to try to dip in to. They take forever to harden which has to occur before dipping into the chocolate. Non-stick foil is the way to go, not wax paper. Emily and mom and dad stayed up way late Friday night making these. Somehow I had fallen asleep on the couch before the chocolate-dipping and unsticking-to-the-wax-paper madness began. However, all said and done, Emily said they were quite tasty!
